Privacy Policy

How HBZ Health IT handles information collected through this website.

Effective date: September 1, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 1, 2026

This website is not a channel for protected health information. Do not submit patient names, medical record numbers, dates of service, or any other protected health information (PHI) through the inquiry form or by email to this site. If an inquiry requires discussing PHI, contact us and we will arrange a secure method under an appropriate agreement.

Who we are

HBZ LLC, doing business as HBZ Health IT, is a healthcare information technology consulting firm based in Baltimore, Maryland. This policy applies to hbzhealthit.com and to inquiries submitted through it. It does not apply to information we process on behalf of a client under a services agreement or business associate agreement; that information is governed by the terms of those agreements.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete the inquiry form, we collect the name, email address, organization, EHR platform, and message you provide. If you contact us by email or telephone, we receive whatever information you choose to include.

Information collected automatically

We use Netlify's server-side analytics, which reports aggregate traffic patterns such as page views, referring sites, and general geographic region. This analysis is performed on server request logs. We do not place advertising or tracking cookies on your device, and we do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party tracking scripts.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Email communications

We use the contact information you provide to reply to your inquiry and to continue that conversation. We may in the future offer an email newsletter about healthcare IT topics. If we do, you will be asked to subscribe explicitly; submitting an inquiry through this site does not enroll you. Any such email will include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing will not affect our ability to correspond with you about an active inquiry or engagement.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of third parties to operate this site. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

These providers process information under their own privacy terms. We do not control their practices and encourage you to review them if that matters to you.

How long we keep information

Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to twenty-four months, so that we can recognize returning contacts and maintain a record of business development activity. Inquiries connected to an engagement are retained as part of our business records for the period required by applicable tax, contractual, and legal obligations. Aggregate analytics are retained according to Netlify's standard retention schedule.

How we protect information

We use encrypted transport (HTTPS) across this website, access controls on the accounts holding inquiry data, and multi-factor authentication where our providers support it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is why the notice at the top of this page matters: this form is not an appropriate channel for sensitive or protected information.

Your choices

You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, or delete it. Send the request to info@hbzhealthit.com and we will respond within thirty days. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may retain information where a legal or contractual obligation requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. We extend the choices described above to all visitors regardless of location.

Children

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Links to other sites

This site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or providers change. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.

SMS messaging privacy and program terms

This section applies specifically to text messages sent from our business line, 888-774-7050. It supplements the rest of this policy and satisfies the disclosure requirements of our messaging provider and the mobile carriers.

Data we collect for messaging

When you opt in to receive SMS messages, we collect your name, your phone number, and your consent to receive text messages from us.

How we use messaging data

We use this information to operate our business and to send the SMS messages you have opted in to receive.

Sharing of messaging data

Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing described elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

Program terms

Do not send protected health information by text message. SMS is not a secure channel and our messaging line is not appropriate for patient names, medical record numbers, or any other PHI.
